Tourmaline is a stone with wonderful colour nuances. It is no coincidence that its name derives from the Singhalese word ‘turmali’, which literally means ‘mixed’, in the sense that there are many shades of colour within it. There are different variations of Tourmaline: the variety used here is called rubellite, whose colour varies from red to pink.
