Moss agate is a truly fascinating stone. Despite its name, it does not contain actual moss: what we see inside it are inclusions of minerals such as chlorite or iron, which create patterns similar to plant filaments, roots, twigs, small ferns.

Since ancient times, people have attributed it properties very much related to the earth and growth. It is no accident that it is considered a stone of renewal: many people use it, or simply keep it close by, at times when they feel the need to regenerate, to put down new roots, or to let go of something to make room for something more authentic. Some people take it with them when they want to improve their relationship with nature, or when they want to “reconnect” with a sense of inner calm.

It is also seen as a stone that brings abundance, in a broad sense: not only material, but also emotional, relational, spiritual. And perhaps this makes sense, considering that it is so reminiscent of moss, which grows everywhere with resilience and beauty, even in the humblest corners of the world.

Aesthetically, each moss agate is unique. No two are alike: the veins can look like small miniature forests, sometimes you find something in them that resembles a tree, a bush, or even a small landscape bathed in mist.
